Hayle is in West Cornwall.
Riviere Towans is situated about 2 miles out of Hayle centre by the beach. It is easy to find.

Riviere Towans is situated only minutes walk away from three miles of sandy beaches.

Children enjoy playing in the rock pools, and when the tide is out, there is a choice of playing in shallow pools in the sand, or going out to swim or surf in the sea. The chalet is conveniently situated for easy access to Cornwall's amenities.

The quaint cobbled streets of St Ives.

The beautiful Cornish countryside with its profusion of wild flowers.

The picturesque St Michael's Mount is only a few minutes drive away.

For the person requiring an activity holiday, facilities for fishing, horse riding, wind surfing and walking are within a short distance. The coast path passes next to the site.

The chalet is also convenient for local shops, cafes, restaurant, pubs and local discotheque, with more facilities in Hayle itself.

A little distance away Hayle Estuary and Lelant Saltings are renowned for their bird watching spots for some of the more rare migrating birds on their last stop before their long flight South.

On the home page I have included links to many sites which give further pictures and details of the many local amenities and attractions. I have also given details of various maps and guides you can purchase in addition to the large selection of leaflets usually to be found in the bungalow.

Food

I have included plenty on the home page in the way of links to other sites.
There are plenty of places to eat out in Hayle and some very good fish restaurants in in St Ives.
Much of the sea food is caught locally.

Besides restaurants, Cornwall is well known for its pasties, and there are several places that make their own in Hayle. These are not the tiny ones sold elsewhere. If you think a large pasty is expensive, you have not seen how large it is.

Clotted cream and local cider are other traditional delicacies.
The local cider farm sell some traditional cider and fruit drinks.

weather

Weather

The meteorological office will give you more details, but Cornwall is kept warm by the Gulf Stream and is one of the mildest places in Britain, other than the Scily Isles. They are well worth a visit too, some plants grow there in Tresco gardens that you will not find anywhere else in Britain. Cornwall is well know for its lovely gardens which have been developed to take advantage of the good weather. See link elsewhere, or try this one Gardens in Cornwall
